After making my first cake I had the idea to try more detail with the piped royal icing. Dandy Lions I felt was a nice choice for fun details!
I baked cupcakes, frosted them, and placed rounds of marshmallow fondant over them. I piped brown royal icing onto wax paper (TWICE, because the first time I peeled them up they broke into a million pieces each) for the mane of each lion. I then painted the faces onto the fondant and placed the hardened manes onto each cake.
I gave them away because I didn't want to see them devoured.
