This is my take on the 'Toast' tee shirt design. I LOVE the design itβs to funny! I started with a square chocolate cake, and a square rice crispy cake. I cut both into a general bread shape and propped the rice crispy toast on a small bowl so that it would set leaning up. Both cakes were covered in handmade fondant, and decorated with a mix of fondant and gumpaste. First I made the 'un-toasted' version of the cake, took some photos and then used a stencil, coco and a sterilized makeup brush to apply the 'tan'. I love the finished cake, every time I walked by it it made me smile!
The finished cake then went off to a half-birthday party and it tasted awesome! Both cakes were gone by the end of the night! All in I think the cake took around 8 hours. That includes baking time as well as fondant making time!
