Power to the Mushroom

Description
This cake became a two day project since i needed the fondant to firm to hand paint the mushroom onto it with food coloring. After the cake was baked the final product took about 2.5 hours to finish.
I decided instead of carving a cake for this design that i would us a cake ball type mixture that would allow me to sculpt my mushrooms into the desired shapes.
The covering of the cake was a use of Fondant and Candy melts both colored with food coloring.
I chose a boxed cake mix (funfetti) because i love it, and wanted to make it festive after the first bite. and delicious too!
