House Brawl cake by Klara Krejcova

Description

I had so many plans and so many favorite designes chosen... No time left. So here is my second and last entry for this year. I feel kinda sad. I really admire all these beautiful and creative masterpieces I've seen in the gallery. RESPECT!

I made a plain chocolate cake - recipe from my latest cookbook I'm obsessed with and it was biiig disappointment. It was somewhat dry and falling appart. So 2D it is. I went for orange dark chocolate ganache to put all the crumbs together and covered them with a layer of marzipan and then another one of white modeling chocolate. I love working with modeling chocolate. It's pliable and if not too hot and humid it's fine for modeling roses and figures too. The only disadvantage I discovered (unfortunately when creating this cake) was it's quite hard to paint it as it cointains a lot of fat. I haven't discovered the way to dissolve my food colours in cocoa butter, apparently have to work on this task.
I took this one to my frinds dinner party and guess what? Noone had a camera there. OK, they took few pictures with their phones but... I chosen the option of stealing one portion and sacrificing myself and taking picture of myself eating it. In my bathroom. Falling appart, I told you.

So this is it. The end. Thanks for all the fun, guys. See you next year.
