A Piece of Cake

This is the first cake I have ever made so I didn't want to go crazy with fondant and things. I also did not have a whole lot of time to work on the cake. The whole thing took me only 1 night to do. It was fairly simple and a lot of fun. I used pound cake so it would be thicker for carving. I baked two round cakes and put them on top of each other. Then I cut a triangle shaped slice out before sticking the whole thing in the freezer so it would be easier to carve. From there I just carved the letters out of the cake. I wish I had left it in the freezer a little bit longer but I think it turned out alright.
