Description
Once I heard about this contest I was so excited to try something out. After looking again and again over all the designs I finally decided on Psusenness. This is my second try with a carved cake and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
The cake is carrot with white chocolate buttercream and covered with marshmallow fondant. I bake a 9 x 13 cake for the head and a thinner 9x9 cake for the base and made a template out of wax paper to help me carve.
For the design I used gold lustre dust and black gel colour with rum (I was out of vodka) to paint the strips.
