Description
This cake including bake time took approximately 8 hours to complete. The cake was a "doctored" cake mix and the frosting was vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream which I tinted blue to match the outside of the cake. The cake had 3 layers filled with frosting and was covered in fondant. I printed the image and resized it to the appropriate size for my 8" round cake. I used this as a stencil for the bear scene. Individual strips were cut for the tree trunks and I used a combination of hand rolling and clay gun to complete the smaller branches of the tree. I used the clay gun to complete the border of the bear and the outline features on the tree scene. I finished it off with a few sugar pearls and more little rolled white fondant balls for the "snow". It was just me and my husband who did the taste testing and it was delicious!
