Catburger

Hello, I am new to this competition but i wanted to give it a try because i saw so many awesome, amazing enteries! I wanted to choose a picture I loved & resembled me in a way (funny as that sounds) I love cats, kittens.... and well who doesn't love a good (non-cat) burger ;) I was going to make the whole thing out of cake..... that sounded easier said then done!!
So i made the lil' guys out of RKT and covered them in fondant/gumpaste misture, i made the tomatoes, lettuce, pickeles & cheese out of gumpaste, so they would hold there shape. At first i thought that the kitties were going to be stong enough to hold my top bun layer.... but found out that was a bad idea (broke artimus's ear :(, white cat)!! I ended up putting some dowells toward the back of the cake and it supported the top bun very well! This cake was made over a period of a week, only because i had other orders i had to make & deliver. This was fun & intresting, gave me more insights to caking :) Hope you love my CATBURGER
