Entanglement Theory cake by Tina Braun

Description

I have been an admirer of the Threadcake challenge for a long time and this was finally the year I had enough time to create an entry. It was difficult to narrow down which design I wanted to attempt. I ended up choosing Entanglement Theory because I love superheroes.
I started by baking a carrot cake (which I needed to grate SIX cups of carrots for... SIX CUPS) with a cream cheese buttercream icing. That was the easy part.
The entire process probably took somewhere between ten to twelve hours as each character took about half an hour to an hour to complete. Since I don't have a projector, I had to improvise with a flash light under a piece of clear plastic to trace the characters on paper. I think it worked out really well.
I had a lot of fun doing this cake and my kids were anxious for me to finish so they could devour it. Twelve hours of hard work gone in under ten minutes. At least I'll always have photo evidence of my handiwork!
