Hi everyone,
The reason I picked this design is simply because it is so hilarious that I love it. Look at his face and try not to laugh!
So for the cake I used a Roulade Cake. It's delicious and so light because of the egg whites. For the icing I made a cream cheese icing because I'm not a big fan of buttercream.
I left my country to come over here in the US and I haven't had the chance to gather a ton of baking utensils and cake pans. So I tried to do my best with what I had. I'm already thinking about next year and hopefully I will have more stuff and a better kitchen lol.
It took me one afternoon to do this cake. I used fondant to cover the cake and toothpicks to help parts holding together. It was not so easy to have a symmetric face, it took me a few attempts to have the mustaches in place.
When i cut a slice I just wanted to take one bite but I ended up eating the whole face lol!
I don't know if I will be able to wait until next year, I'm thinking about making a 2D cake before November!!
