Description
This was a challenge to say the least! New techniques for me all around, but I couldn't resist. Turns out I didn't have all of the right equipment so I improvised and I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome.
When I saw the design I immediately thought of those reusable shopping bags.
I started with a pound cake. From there I whipped up some butter cream, cut out and stacked the layers. Then I rolled and tinted some fondant and began the base structure.
I made modeling chocolate and that's what I used for the fruit. My hang up was that I don't have powdered food coloring and luster dust just wasn't vibrant enough. So I improvised with gel coloring.
After all was finally put together it was time to eat! And mmm, mm. I do love pound cake.
