Description
I chose this design because I LOVE the movie Pulp Fiction and frankly, this design makes me giggle. Who doesn't love puns? And one good pun leads to another -- "Orange Julius" comes to mind..
I spent about 4 days working on this cake -- primarily because my 4 children required that I take Halloween off! But I digress...
Vincent and Jules are 6" ball white cakes encased in a candy melt sphere I made using the same Wilton ball pans. The inside of the chocolate shell is ganached and I used the white chocolate ganache to smooth the seam in the chocolate. The hair and clothes and arms are fondant. Jules' hair is literally a POUND of fondant. I got hand cramps rolling all the balls of fondant for his hair!
I added Tylose powder to the arms, hands and guns. The elevated arms are attached with royal icing, toothpicks and a few prayers.
