A city built on rock n' roll would be structurally unsound

I wanted to do a cake that was based on a text shirt because I thought it allowed more creativity. This cake was made from a vanilla cake mixture and I made snow white buttercream frosting for all the decorations and coverings. For the turntable arm and buildings I added extra powdered sugar. It took around 6 hours, but I broke it up between two days.

The cake is a turntable (pink and green!) that has a city on top of the record falling apart. Two of the buildings are falling down and others are burning. On the record it has the saying on the shirt.

My circular cake actually burned when I was making this but I just used the top layer and it ended up working better because it made for a less thick record!

Overall, fun experience..and delicious.
