I started with a half sphere cake, vanilla for John Travolta, chocolate for Samuel L. Jackson. Since they were too short for my purposes I created a base of rice krispie treats for each. I then iced them both and rolled fondant onto to them. I painted them to look like oranges and then added more fondant for their eyes and facial hair. Then I used butter cream frosting for their hair.
