Defend The Kingdom

I made the cake(s) over the course of two days, one day for baking and one day for decorating! I was initially going to enter with a friend working together on one cake, but we couldn't agree on a design, so we each ended up entering separately, but decorating together. We listened to the Newsies soundtrack six times in the process of decorating the cake. It was a butter cake from a box, but with almond extract in the cake and an amaretto glaze to make it extra yummy. The cake is entirely fondant free because I think fondant tastes gross even if it looks cool.
