Beneath the Ocean Deep

So I wanted my second entry to be less of a literal translation of the design and this is what I came up with. I found it a little challenging to paint with food coloring....the colors came out much darker than I would have liked. I did enjoy all the detail in the fondant work and am very pleased with how the image climbs up the layers. This also doubled as my mom's birthday cake, incase you were wondering why there were candles in the last few pictures. Oh yea, and the inside was devils food cake with chocolate fudge icing =)
