Self Destruction

I made a 6 inch 3 layer chocolate fudge cake, filled it with caramel buttercream then put it in the fridge to cool. I then cut to a sphere, and covered it with chocolate frosting, then made fork marks on it. The feet were made with chocolate frosting and cake mixed together. I made fondant legs, and then covered a wire with fondant for the arms, shaping the hands out of chocolate fondant and the lighter out of fondant. I also covered a wire with fondant for the fuse. I then stuck on some eyes with tears from fondant and then stuck the arms into straws to keep them steady.

This was really fun for me since I've never made a shaped cake, I'll definitely try some more challenging structures next time!!

We had the cake next day and it was delicious, how can you go wrong with chocolate cake!!
