Cookie Loves Milk

When my friend Hailey and I heard about your contest, many a non-work related email flew! We decided quickly to have a bake-a-thon that upcoming Saturday, and arranged to have some friends/eaters present. A quick trip to Micheals beforehand netted us fondant (my first time using it) and perhaps the greatest pigments known to mankind- wilton food coloring (the 12 pack!) While Hailey was dead set on Self Destruction (the t-shirt that is) I began with a more video game theme in mind...until I quickly realized how unlikely I was to pipe pixilated lettering onto a cake. The it was onwards to Plan B. As a baker more than a decorator, the excuse to bake some chocolate chips cookies was an easy one for me, and was met by cheers from the friends/eaters who could smell the cakes we had just baked, but couldn't yet eat them. !5 minutes later the second star of my cake was ready to go, and we forged on with our paint brushes, food coloring and Fondant.
