My career plans were much more exciting when I was five. cake by Analee Scripter

Description

I made this one from a type tee so I could make up the design myself. I saw this one and the design pretty much immediately formed inside my head. So I drew it out and I loved it.

I started out making a banana cake from scratch and then frosted it with buttercream. I froze it and painted on the picture with paste food coloring. It thawed out pretty fast so it made it kind of hard with the frosting getting soft and the condensation accumulating on the cake. It probably would have been easier to paint on fondant but I didn't want to make anymore of that stuff after making four or five batches for the Beauty Before Death cake. :/

The design features a little boy dressed up in various clothing and non-clothing items. He is imagining himself in three different "careers" that five-year-olds often come up with.

First is a pirate, hence the eye patch and toy sword.

Second is a dinosaur cowboy, hence the cowboy hat and boots.

And third is a superhero, hence the towel-cape and tightie-whities.

And then there's the teddy bear, because he is five years old and that's how he rolls.

We ate this cake for my brother's birthday bee bee queue and it was delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
