Spring Wind Rising

My best friend Maggi sent me a link to this contest and after 3 hours of browsing through shirts (and finding probably about 50 I want to buy)I decided that the spring wind rising would be a beautiful cake. The birds are dried gumpaste plaques and the feathers are made with royal icing piped onto curved drying racks. It was white fun-fetti cake with whipped cream and strawberry filling. After everything was done I sent it with my brother to the Boy's and Girl's club and they loved it.
