Description
This little guy didn't come out anything like I had planned. I had a recipe for uncooked fondant that supposedly worked as a rolled fondant, but it's not quite right. It covered the cake, but not smoothly, and it wasn't nearly manageable to cut intricate feathers out of. At the last minute I threw together a royal icing for the feathers and it wasn't all that manageable either.
It's a bit of a mess, but I'll be darned if it isn't the cutest little cake ever in my tiny cake holder I just got at the thrift store for $1.99. I wish there were a prize for Cutest Tiniest Little Cake or Best Thrift Store Cake Accessory Score. OR maybe a vegan cake category. Cause this little dude is totally vegan.
It was very yummy and made me smile. I loved you, tiny blue cake.
