Haunted Hedge Maze

Description
A long time lover of PacMan, I decided this design would be perfect for a two-tier cake. I couldn't see myself actually hollowing out the devil's food cake to create the hedges and having the cake stand up properly, so I thought I'd raise them up with green almond-flavoured fondant. The icing inside was a simple butter frosting, and PacMan and Co are marzipan balls.
The whole process took about 12 hours on a lazy Sunday.
This was my first time ever making or working with fondant, so regardless of whether or not I get a prize, I'm pretty excited! I'm just glad I got to photograph it before the northeastern heat wave took over and dried the fondant out into cracks.
It was delicious, and very sweet. I fed it to a large group of friends, and they took to it like PacMan to a blinking blue ghost. :D
