So far, this is the oldest I have ever been

This cake was a joint birthday cake for my dad and I and a great excuse to try out fondant! I made marshmallow fondant in the hopes that my family would actually eat it (they picked it off anyway--meh) and dyed it blue and green, cause hey, I like blue and green! The delicious chocolate cake and vanilla frosting were courtesy of the lovely Betty Crocker. Basically, I baked a 9x13 cake, leveled it, cut it in half, stacked it, iced it, rolled the fondant and laid it on top (semi-poorly, but hey, it was my first try!). My lovely assistant and long time best friend Courtney meticulously cut out the letters and I attached them. And voila! A cake! With fondant! (I don't speak French)
