Let's Get Physical

In the face of an overwhelming selection of designs, I was thinking it would be fun and challenging to pick one at random. So, I decided to have a client choose the design for me. As physical fitness fans (say it out loud, it's fun), they went with "Let's Get Physical." I decided to add a couple extra mice working out at some sort of delicious cheese gymnasium. It was silly and fun.

I used the opportunity to try out a new chocolate fudge cake recipe and layered it with my go-to vanilla. I also made my own marshmallow fondant. The mice and other small sculpted pieces were made from gum paste.

The whole process took about 14 hours, from baking to decorating.
