Description
We really wanted to make a threadcake for this year's entry- only problem was we didn't know what this thing called "fondant" was, or how to use it... As you can see, our experimental results turned out to be an epic win.
We decided to buy one back up packet of fondant, and then make our own. Who knew the crazy ingredients that go into these things! We baked a delicious butter cake. And with the fondant, even though we had some interesting results with gelatin at first, it all worked out. We also painted on food colouring, which made for a rather sticky situation. And the black icing paste was remarkably shiny.
The poker face lady now gives us nightmares...but she was delicious.
