Call of the Wild

The bear was made out of one rectangle vanilla cake. I cut out circles from the cake, stacked them and then carved them into the bears basic head shape. I added some off the leftover cake to the cake to improve the shape of the forehead then covered it in vanilla buttercream. Once this had set I covered the cake in white sugar paste. I then carved in the hair details and added the nose and eyes. I created the pieces for the glasses out of sugar paste and let them set slightly before i began airbrushing the colour onto them and the cake. I attached the glasses to the face using cocktail sticks and edible glue and it was finished. I think I got a bit carried away with the colour but overall I'm pleased with how it turned out.
