Zombies in Wonderland

Description
I feel like a zombie in Wonderland.
Three days of nothing but cereal-eating and cake-making really takes a toll on you.
My favorite Threadless shirts seem to be the morbid ones....So naturally I had to do Zombies in Wonderland. The actual cake took a couple of days to make/assemble, where as the figures took much longer. This year I wanted to try to have everything be edible so this required letting all the pieces for the figures dry individually so they would be able to support their own weight. When it came to Alice, however, I had to stick two wires into her legs because I just didn't have the time to take a chance on her.
The cake is a yellow box cake mix with homemade butter cream icing. I made white modeling chocolate which I used for the sides of the cats mouth. All the figures are made of gumpaste and the cake is covered in fondant. I painted the fondant and figures with gel coloring.
I wait for this contest every year and left it for the last few days this time. Procrastination is the worst! I am missing some details photos near the end stages of making the cake and characters due to time constraints and being focused on getting the cake done. At least I finished! Wish I gave myself more time...
