Hans Off My Cookie

Description
We're Sugi and Ai and this is our very first Threadcakes entry! It was super exciting and fun to do! We're officially hooked now and will probably be entering one more cake before the deadline.
It took us forever to settle on this design because there are so many fun and nerdy designs to choose from. We finally chose this one because we couldn't stop giggling over how clever and cute it was!
The cake was a 9x13 red velvet with cream cheese frosting. The characters were made out of marshmallow fondant, which we made ourselves. Han Solo Cup was cut freehand with an xacto knife out of the fondant. In retrospect we should have printed out the design so we could get cleaner lines. Chewbacca was sculpted also freehand out of the fondant. The detailing on the Chewbacca cookie were painted on with brown gel coloring and vodka.
The whole process took us about 20 or so hours over one long weekend.
