Description
We were so excited to enter threadcakes again this year! We chose a design that we absolutely fell in love with and thought would be a lot of fun to make.
The cake is made out of two layers of basic yellow cake. The filling is chocolate buttercream. There is also a thin layer of buttercream on the whole cake.
The decorations are made out of homemade marshmallow fondant. We rolled out thin pieces of fondant tinted in whatever colors we needed. Then we painted each piece of fondant with food coloring to add the shading and details. Some of the pieces aren't completely flat on the cake and are 3d.
