Description
I was having trouble deciding which t-shirt to do and when I saw there were two different categories, well I thought I might as well do one of each.
This is my 2-D of "Face." I love really bold graphics and when I saw the tee even before I knew about the contest, I thought that the design would translate really well onto so many different objects.
I thought cupcakes would be ideal because I like repetition of pattern plus, my monthly craft group meeting is coming up and I knew I could pawn the cupcakes off on them. I usually make my own cakes from scratch but I didnt have a lot of time so I used a store bought yellow butter mix, but I beefed it up with french vanilla pudding mix and bit of liqueur. They are extremely tasty even without anything on top.
I used cream cheese frosting and then a layer of fondant over that to make the face. I cut out the pieces with an exacto and using water I glued the layers together.
The cupcakes themselves took a regular amount of time, about a hour with mxing/baking/cooling. The stuff on top took a couple of hours to knock out.
For the record I have been featured on "Cake Wrecks" previously so I am looking to redeem myself. Thanks for this opportunity!
