We're Not Savages

I have been meaning to make this cake for two weeks, but then work got crazy and my ankle popped out of joint and well things just went downhill from there. I could not however let this cake go unmade so I started it a scant 4 hours ago and finished 3 minutes prior to this posting. I haven't tasted it yet but I did eat some of the bloom while I was trimming the cake and it was warm and buttery and really very good.
I want to write more but I am afraid I wont have to time to get this in - thanks for your consideration.
P.S. Mary Alice rocks me like a hurricane!
