Vanishing in the Night

Description
Hello!
This is the first time I enter ThreadCakes competition and I wanted to make a 3D cake. But than I saw this design and I loved it, so I decided to make also a 2D cake. I was wanting to try a white on black painting for a while so this was my chance to make it.
I baked 2 square chocolate cake. Than filled them with white and hazelnut ganache and stacked them to make a cube.
After ganaching it I painted the moon using a sponge (first I covered the rest of the cake, like if I was stencilling).
Than I painted the feather and all the details on the owl.
Finally we tasted it... it was delicious!
