Description
I remember hearing a little bit about Threadcakes last year through CakeWrecks. I was so excited to get a newsletter in my e-mail announcing the return of the contest! How fun! I rarely get to make fun cakes for "no good reason" ;) and I love so many of the t-shirts! I did a bob-omb cake last year for a friends birthday, but don't have the construction photos for it.
I love this t-shirt design, and have for some time! The whole thing probably took about 6 hours total to complete. It was a cream cheese pound cake, which is soooo yummy, but I'd go with a different recipe next time (and there will be a next time!) as the crumb was so tender, it was falling off the sides. Thank goodness for fondant! I made the girl out of gumpaste (and love her legs/feet) and hand-painted the smoggy city.
So fun! I can't wait to do more!
