Sock Monkey Just Wants a Friend

This was a lot more challenging than I anticipated. In the long run I should have made the cake smaller so the monkey wasn't so big, but oh well. I had a lot of fun recreating the building. The monkey was a combination of cake, rice crispy treats and cake clay. I created the multicolored Sock Monkey material by grating white chocolate onto the fondant and then rolling it into the fondant. The white chocolate was much more fickle than I expected too. Ultimately I had many problems with this one and if I had time I would have tried to fix it, but I guess thats what I get trying to finish a cake last minute. The monkey's head was his downfall, but the cake was yummy!
