Buzzin

Buzzin baby! This cake was a last minute decision. I tend to start cakes very late and night and then work into the wee hours of the morning. I started with 2 half circle pans. The cake was strawberry with strawberry filling. Very yummy! After the cakes were baked and stacked they were covered with yellow fondant. They were then covered with black stripes of fondant. The legs, wings, stinger, coffee cups, and eyes were all made of fondant. The black details on the body were put on with a edible food color marker. The stripes weren't quite dark enough for my liking so I painted them with some black food coloring. The cake was a fun and delicious project :)
