Breakfast in Bed

Breakfast in bed is delicious, especially when it's cake. This cake was a chocolate cake with a whipped frosting. It was super duper yummy. I used a bread shaped pan to bake the cake, frosted it, and covered it with fondant. Then I airbrushed the sides of the cake to look like a slice of bread. The sausage, eggs, and bacon are all made from fondant. I cut out the pieces for the egg, molded the sausages, and added the mouths/arms. Their mouths are small pieces of fondant and their eyes were added using a food color marker. The bacon was made by layering red and off white fondant and then rolling it out and trimming. Everything was stacked and voila! Fun cake to make and even more fun to eat.
