Magic Mushroom

This is my third year entering Threadcakes! I love making these designs!
I saw this picture and instantly knew I HAD to make it into cake. The first step was coloring all of my fondant the correct colors. I worked on the 2D fondant plaque for the top over the course of 2 weeks in my free time. The cake I made was a semi naked vanilla bean cake with raspberry mousse and chambord soaked fresh raspberries (mmmmmm!) covered in strawberry buttercream. The board is covered in satin ice fondant as well.
