Description
It's such a cute design, lots of detail too, every time I look at it I spot a new cool little detail. Love it!
I thought this would translate well into a 2D design, hopefully I've done it justice!
I used the frozen buttercream transfer method, so first up I made a tracing of the design on greaseproof paper, and then flipped it over and went over the design with dark brown butter cream, after hours of piping out the lines I chilled the design and then filled in the spaces with the teal and cream coloured butter icing, doing my best not to smear the linework in the process. I then froze the whole thing for several hours.
While the icing was in the freezer I made a big blueberry sponge and a batch of cream cheese frosting (my favourite) and once the cake was totally cooled Covered it with the frosting.
Then, the moment of truth, had the transfer worked or was it all a horrible smudged disaster?
Fortunately it worked out well, so I flipped it over, removed the greaseproof paper and placed it ontop of the cake, then smoothed out the edges.
Super!
