Life is Damn Good

I love this design! It has all the great elements: leaves, flowers, birds, and a catchy catch phrase. Life is damn good! It doesn't hurt that I'm an optamist, or the fact I keep budgies as pets.

How I did it: the usual suspects. Vanilla cake, chocolate chip and peanut butter chip cookie dough filling, vanilla swiss buttercream frosting (arguably, is there any other kind!? Fondant phase: I found a buttercream fondant recipe and tried it. I formed the yellow flowers, then the orange and light green flowers. I used the design to figure out where they go. I made the birds, then the letters. Finally, I arranged everything on top of the cake.

To finish I invited friends over for a cake night, and we enjoyed the cake. A good time was had by all.
